ABC Raceway Hall of Fame
The Ashland-Bayfield County Racing Association was formed on July 26, 1965, and in honor of its 50th birthday the organization created the ABC Raceway Hall of Fame, to recognize and honor the men, women and organizations who helped to establish, build and maintain what has become one of the most popular and successful short-track stock car racing facilities in the Upper Midwest.
The first Hall of Fame induction ceremony was held on July 19, 2014, with the inductees introduced on the front straightaway of the red-clay oval to a near-capacity crowd in attendance on that beautiful mid-summer evening. Since that night the Association has made a concerted effort to annually add those deserving persons and organizations who have best exemplified what has long been the basis of the success of the Ashland-Bayfield County Racing Association for over 50 years – unselfish involvement and contribution, a sense of pride in accomplishment, a true volunteer spirit, and a genuine love of grass-roots, short-track stock car racing.
