Ashland, WI, July 31 — Reservations are now being accepted for seating, on-site camping and pit spots for the 41st annual Red Clay Classic, to be held at the ABC Raceway on Friday and Saturday, September 30-October 1.

The traditional season finale for stock car racing in the Northland will feature WISSOTA-sanctioned Late Models, Modifieds, Super Stocks and Midwest Modifieds competing for a purse slated to be in excess of $86,000. Upwards of 200 or more racers are expected to be in attendance, making the event one of the biggest in all of WISSOTA.

The Red Clay Classic schedule includes all heat races on that Friday and semi-feature and feature races on Saturday. Other tentative activities include a dance at the track on Friday night, a scramble golf tournament on Saturday morning, and special sales throughout the Historic Downtown Ashland business district, plus additional activities throughout the community.

Fans and racers who had reserved seats, sites and spots for last year’s Classic have until August 10 to contact the Raceway to renew their reservations for this year’s show at last year’s prices. After August 10 any remaining unclaimed sites, seats and pit spots will be made available to the general public by reservation, with pricing announced at that time.

Adult grandstand tickets are available to those who reserved in 2015 at $20 for Friday’s program and $25 for Saturday; fans can purchase a two-day pass for just $40.  For kids ages 6-12 tickets are $12 each night, while a two-day kids’ pass is just $20. A reserved seat can be purchased with a two-day pass for an additional $10 charge; reserved seats are not available with single-day ticket purchases.

A limited number of reserved primitive camping sites on the Raceway grounds is available for $30 for the weekend. There is also camping available on the privately-owned property to the east of the track, but those sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and no reservations are available through the Raceway for those sites.

To buy tickets or to save a seat or campsite, fans can call (715) 682-2672 Monday through Friday (evenings only), send an e-mail to tickets@abcraceway.com, or inquire at the grandstand ticket window during any of the remaining regular-season Saturday race nights at the track through August 27.

Reserved pit spots are just $30 each and available by calling (715) 746-2390 (evenings) or by e-mailing to tickets@abcraceway.com.

Pricing for tickets and other reservations available after August 10 will be released at that time.

Information regarding access times to the grounds, pits and grandstands, start times for hot laps and racing, and other activities will be released at a later time. Prior to each night’s race program, “Z-93 Race Night” will provide up-to-date track news and weather information live from the Raceway on WBSZ, 93.3 FM, and online at www.wbszfm.com. The broadcast times will be announced at a later date.

The ABC Raceway is located 3-1/2 miles south of Ashland on State Highway 13 and one mile west on Butterworth Road. Additional event information is available on the track’s website, www.abcraceway.com.  Additional information on the community is available by visiting www.visitashland.com.
