Reserved Seating, Camping for 43rd Red Clay Classic Going Fast
by Nick Gima
Ashland, WI, July 12 — It’s not too late to reserve seating and on-site camping for the 43rd annual Red Clay Classic at the ABC Raceway – but fans won’t want to wait too much longer.
The ABC Raceway will present this year’s edition of one of the Midwest’s biggest and most prestigious stock car racing invitationals on Friday and Saturday, September 28-29. Over 200 WISSOTA Late Models, Modifieds, Super Stocks and Midwest Modifieds are expected to compete for a share of a purse expected to be in excess of $90,000.
Fans who had reserved seats and camp sites for last year’s Classic will be given priority in renewing their reservations for this year’s event; however, those fans have until July 28 to renew and pay for the renewals. Any unclaimed seats and sites available after that date will be for sale to the general public beginning August 1.
There are approximately 400 seats in the main grandstand designated as reserved, plus about 60 more in the South bleachers, as well as 80 specifically-marked locations along the top walkway of the main grandstand for bring-your-own lawn chair seating. A grandstand seating reservation requires the purchase of and is in addition to the price of a two-day pass for the race program.
Over 230 spaces are available for primitive camping in the Raceway’s grandstand parking area.
To reserve a seat, fans can visit the grandstand ticket windows during any race night over the remainder of the 2018 regular-season schedule (every Saturday through August 25). Fans can also call (715) 682-2672 Mondays through Fridays (evenings only) or send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Pit spots for drivers competing at this year’s Red Clay Classic are also currently available by calling (715) 746-2390 (evenings) or by e-mailing to email@example.com.
The ABC Raceway is located 3-1/2 miles south of Ashland on State Highway 13 and one mile west on Butterworth Road.
